Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has carved a niche for himself as the man who ended the club’s Premier League title drought. He had been putting measures in place to ensure this was the case over the years after his appointment in October 2015.
Liverpool contracted the German from former club Borussia Dortmund to replace Brendan Rodgers and this decision has proved to be a masterstroke going by the club’s achievements in recent years.
They’ve now won the Premier League for the 2019/20 football season and this was preceded by a UEFA Champions League triumph in the 2018/19 season, UEFA Supercup triumph, and FIFA Club World Cup triumph. The Reds are the best team in England and this cannot be argued.
Jurgen Klopp has transformed Liverpool and has returned them to their former glory days. The German has kept to his promise to do that. This was the promise he made during his first press conference after making the move to Anfield.

He stated that he would win a title with the Reds, and he started with the UCL and has now capped it off with a title that had eluded the Merseyside giants for 30 years. Here are excerpts from his first interview as Liverpool boss:
“At this moment all the LFC family is a little bit too nervous, a little bit too pessimistic, a little bit too much in doubt.
“They all celebrate the game and there is a fantastic atmosphere in the stadium, But they don’t believe at the moment. They only see five years ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago.
“History is great. But only to remember. Now we have the possibility to write a new story if we want, but we have to clear a few things and maybe we can do this and be as successful as we can be.
“I am not saying this year will be the most successful in the history of Liverpool FC. If it happens then we can celebrate it, but if not we have to work.”
“In football all the world class teams play possession football, that’s cool. I like to watch this. Bayern Munich? Great team, great club. Barcelona? Yes, Real Madrid. Maybe on some days Man City.
“But nobody starts with the possession.
“So the first thing always you have to have a stable defence. That’s the first thing always because you can only stay confident in a game when you know not every offensive move of the other team is a goal.

“That’s the first thing. When you start at a new club no-one starts from the top of the table. Only a few teams. You always have a little bit lower position, and our position is absolutely okay but we can start our development today.
“If it’s possible, can we be the hardest team to beat in the world?
“If you can try to be this it’s not such a faraway thing to maybe be a team who can win games.
“First of all we have really to talk with all LFC fans and talk about what our expectations are, because expectations can be a real big problem. It’s like a backpack with 20 kilos more. It’s not so cool to run with this.
“We have to think about this then we can start.”
Jurgen Klopp has made a name for himself at Anfield and this was sealed after Chelsea beat Manchester City 2:1 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night. Therefore, the Reds didn’t have to wait to be confirmed as Premier League champions.
