Kelvin Phillips has advised John Stones to consider a move to Newcastle United this summer, seeing he has fallen down the pecking order and out-of-favor under Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
John Stones has been limited in his appearances for the Citizens this season with just 12 in the Premier League, with 10 of those being starts.
The England international has been fit and raring to go for the majority of the season except during a one-month period between September and October.
However, he has been omitted from the squad in a good number of important games by the Spaniard.

This development has resulted in speculations and doubts about his future at the Etihad.
Therefore, Phillips has urged the center-back to end his stay at the Etihad and make a move to Newcastle, who are very close to a Saudi takeover worth £300m takeover.
“I think John Stones should get out of Manchester City. It has not quite worked out for John. He came for big money as a young lad and there was a lot of pressure,” He told.
“I like him, he is a good player and a fresh start somewhere else would do him the world of good. If he could jump on that train at Newcastle – who knows where it could be heading”.
A report by The Telegraph this week claimed that former boss Rafael Benitez could be reappointed as manager once the takeover is complete, with Stones being pointed out as a preferred transfer target alongside Chelsea’s Ross Barkley.

It can be recalled that the aforementioned players previously plied their trade at Everton. Meanwhile, the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Boubakary Soumare have also been linked with a move to St. James’ Park this month.
It can be recalled that the latter declined a move to Newcastle in January but is reportedly prepared to reconsider his stance if interest in his services is renewed.
