‘Continue the legacy’ – Asamoah Gyan backs Abdul Fatawu Issahaku to succeed with Leicester City

Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan has backed Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for success in England after his standout performances for Leicester City.

Issahaku’s first career hat-trick in a 5-0 win over Southampton has drawn attention to his potential in the Premier League.

In a tribute to Gyan, Issahaku celebrated his third goal with the iconic dance made famous by the Ghanaian star. Gyan responded on social media, encouraging the young talent to “Continue the legacy boy.”

Gyan, known for his time at Sunderland, where he scored ten goals in 34 Premier League appearances, sees shades of his own success in Issahaku’s rise.

Currently on loan from Sporting Lisbon, Issahaku has shone at Leicester, contributing to 18 goals this season.

The hat-trick took Issahaku’s goal tally to six in the Championship, accompanied by an impressive 12 assists, solidifying his status as a rising star in English football.

Leicester need to win one game more to confirm their place in the Premier League next season.
