Zlatan threatens to leave Milan if things don’t change

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has threatened to leave AC Milan after this season if things stay as they are, as relayed by AS.

The former Sweden international joined the Rossoneri in January this year, following a highly successful stint in the MLS with LA Galaxy. He has so far made 13 appearances in all competitions in which he scored six goals and assisted further three.

His contract expires at the end of August, and it seems the 38-year-old is yet to decide where or if he wants to play afterwards. The report claims Ibrahimovic spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Sportweek magazine in an interview that’s set to be released on Saturday, and expressed frustration with the position Milan are in at the moment.

He believes neither he nor a club as great as Milan belong in the Europa League, which is all they seem able to fight for in this moment in time. He also appears to question the club’s reported decision to replace head coach Stefano Pioli with Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

“Who is Rangnick? I don’t even know who he is,” he said.
