THE MATCH

Vitality Women’s FA Cup (Second Round Qualifying)
Kellaway Park
Sunday 18th October, 1pm GMT
Limited tickets available, see below for details
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side’s first outing in this year’s competition will see them make the trip to Cornwall this Sunday afternoon.
Saints will be looking to replicate their record-breaking run in the FA Cup last year, which saw them defeat higher opposition in Yeovil Town and Cardiff City before making their St Mary’s debut against Coventry United.
With the side currently four wins from four in the league, they will go into the weekend’s cup fixture with plenty of confidence; the latest result being a 4-0 home win over Exeter City.
Their opponents, Helston AFC, currently sit third in the Western Cornwall Women’s Football League but have only played one game; albeit a 16-0 away win over Illogan RBL Ladies on the opening day.

There are a limited number of tickets still available for the fixture at the following prices:

MANAGER’S NOTES
Spacey-Cale said this week she is relishing being back in Vitality FA Cup action, saying: “The FA Cup is a very special competition and every club starts their journey with a dream of winning the final at Wembley.
“We start our journey against Helston Athletic who caused an upset in the last round by beating a team two tiers above them.
“That score ensures that we approach the game in the same manner we approach every game, not underestimating the opponents, knowing we have to be at the top of our game.
“We have to have every squad member focused on helping each other get into the next round.”
