Lynn Williams scored twice on Wednesday as the North Carolina Courage defeated the Washington Spirit, 2-0 in the 2020 National Women’s Soccer League Challenge Cup.

Williams opened the scoring in the 50th minute by evading a tackle from Sam Staab just over the midfield line, dribbling and cutting inside. Nobody closed her down, so Williams slotted the ball inside the near post.

Eleven minutes later, Williams got on the end of Debinha’s cross at the back post.

    Further analysis to follow.
