We will build a strong youth team for Kotoko – Alhaji Lamin

Alhaji Lamin, a member of Asante Kotoko’s new board of directors has indicated that they will build a very strong youth team during their tenure to nurture players for the first team.

The 9-member board of directors chaired by Dr. Kwame Kyei as the chairman has been tasked to formulate policies for the Ghanaian giants and ensure they rock shoulders with the elite clubs on the African continent.

In addition to that, the board is to ‘set up the Asante Kotoko SC academy and establish a new social impact with Asanteman to provide opportunities for the development of the youth within the communities for advancement through sports’.

According to Alhaji Lamin, the newly constituted board will work hard to ensure they deliver on the mandate that requires the building of a very strong youth side.

“We’ll definitely build a strong youth team for AsanteKotoko per the dictates of our mandate, however, we won’t lose sight of the fact that the main team has to be strong to compete in Africa & attract fans to the stadium”, the board member of Kotoko said in an interview with Opemsuo FM.
