Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara thinks that finishing in the top-four next season won’t be enough for Spurs to keep Harry Kane.
Kane revealed in an Instagram live in lockdown that he wants to stay at Tottenham as long as the club continue to match his ambition, but wouldn’t remain in north London “for the sake of it.”
Spurs have finished in the top-four in four of the previous five seasons, but have suffered heartache at the latter stages in the FA Cup and League Cup before they were beaten by Liverpool in 2019 Champions League final as Kane remains in search of his first career honour.
And O’Hara reckons that Tottenham must end their 12-year trophy drought next season unless they want to risk losing Kane.
Watch what O’Hara said below.
“He is 27, if Spurs don’t win a trophy next season, Kane should move on.”
