USL Championship set to resume July 11 with Real Monarchs SLC hosting San Diego Loyal SC

    The USL Championship returns from its break in play due to the coronavirus pandemic with nine matches scheduled from July 11-13.

    Kicking things off will be defending champions Real Monarchs SLC, Real Salt Lake’s affiliate, hosting Landon Donovan’s San Diego Loyal SC at Rio Tinto Stadium July 11 (4 pm ET | ESPN Deportes).

    Atlanta United 2 will resume its season July 11 against the Tampa Bay Rowdies (7:30 pm ET | ESPN+), while the Colorado Rapids affiliate, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will host New Mexico United (8 pm ET | ESPN+).

    Los Dos take on Phoenix Rising (10 pm ET | ESPN Deportes) and matches between Indy Eleven and Saint Louis FC (7 pm ET | ESPN+) and El Paso Locomotive FC and Rio Grande Valley FC (9:30 pm ET | ESPN+) wrap up the July 11 slate.

    Seattle Sounders-affiliate Tacoma Defiance returns to the field to meet Sacramento Republic FC July 13 (10 pm ET | ESPN Deportes) after OKC Energy meet FC Tulsa (7 pm ET | ESPN2).

    A complete schedule for the resumption of the 2020 USL Championship season is expected to be released in the coming days.
