Tottenham targeting £10m Hugo Lloris replacement – report

Tottenham are interested in signing West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone – with the Baggies setting a £10million asking-price, according to the Evening Standard.

The England shotstopper could leave the club this summer, with West Brom likely to be relegated, whilst Spurs are on the lookout to replace Hugo Lloris, who’s been strongly linked with a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at PSG.

Lloris is out of contract next summer, meaning Tottenham have been weighing up potential replacements, with Johnstone’s form catching the eye, although they face competition from London rivals West Ham.

The former Manchester United keeper has been impressive in his first season in the Premier League, with his excellent form leading to a call-up from Gareth Southgate for the recent World Cup qualifiers against San Marino, Albania and Poland.

Johnstone has kept six clean sheets in the league and recently saved James Ward-Prowse’s penalty in West Brom’s victory over Southampton.
