Tottenham Hotspur want AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to a report in FC Inter 1908. Kessie is out of contract at Milan in the summer of 2022, and Premier League outfit Tottenham are among a number of clubs who want to sign the 24-year-old.

Kessie reportedly wants €7 million per year as salary from Milan to sign a new contract. However, the Italian and European giants are unwilling to pay that much, and it is now being claimed that the Ivory Coast international could leave.

Spurs are keen on Kessie, although it is not clear from the report if the North London club will wait until next summer to sign the midfielder on a free transfer or pay Milan a fee to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January. The 24-year-old has made four starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A, and has played twice in the Champions League for Milan so far this season.
