Tottenham Hotspur have made Juventus an offer for Aaron Ramsey with manager Jose Mourinho apparently a big fan, according to The Sun.
If the move comes off this summer, it will certainly be controversial with Ramsey spending 11 years at Spurs’ arch-rivals Arsenal.
A permanent deal is very unlikely to be reached, with a loan deal more likely at this stage, but Ramsey’s huge £400,000-a-week wages to be discussed.
The Sun have suggested Spurs are happy to pay half those wages and with the Wales international not receiving anything like the game time he would have been hoping for in Turin, he could be tempted by the deal.
Ramsey was left out of Maurizio Sarri’s squad for his side’s Coppa Italia semi final victory over AC Milan on Friday night, which in a way would come as no surprise.
Apparently Spurs boss is a big fan of Ramsey’s and tried to persuade Manchester United chairman Ed Woodward to sign the midfielder suggesting he is a better option than Paul Pogba.
