It’s official, exactly 100 days after Leicester City defeated Aston Villa 4-0 on the Monday Night Football on 9 March, the Premier League is back.

Project Restart has been given the go ahead – with Sheffield United vs Aston Villa and Manchester City set to be the first games back on Wednesday 17 June.

And although Tottenham’s first game back hasn’t yet been confirmed, it’s more than likely that Jose Mourinho’s men will be hosting his former side Manchester United on the weekend of the 20/21 June.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, one Spurs player is far more excited to get back playing than most – Harry Kane.

The 26-year-old striker hasn’t played since suffering a hamstring problem at Southampton on New Year’s Day, and prior to the halt of Premier League football amid the Coronavirus breakout, Kane ended up missing 15 matches in all competitions.

But having resumed training last Tuesday, the England captain, who was looking sharp in a shooting drill that we relayed earlier this week, is clearly raring to go almost six months after he last played competitively.

Moments after it was announced that the Premier League would be returning, Kane took to social media.
