Champions League Outshone Neymar and Mbappe against Leipzig
Angel Di Maria was the star man as Paris Saint-Germain reached their first Champions League final at the expense of RB Leipzig.
The former Real Madrid player assisted two and scored one in the 3-0 win.
His first decisive contribution came in the 13th minute, delivering a perfect freekick for Marquinhos to head past Peter Gulacsi.
Later in the first half, Di Maria was on hand to double PSG’s lead himself, profiting from Neymar‘s backheel assist to score the second.
Juan Bernat was next to benefit from the Argentine’s accuracy on the ball, connecting with Di Maria‘s low cross to make it 3-0 in the second half.
Di Maria has played more often than any other player since Thomas Tuchel was appointed as coach three years ago.
In that time, the forward has scored 35 goals and made 41 assists between Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
Often in the shadow of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at PSG, Di Maria is showing his worth at just the right time.
