The weekend fixtures saw the fight for the top 4 places heighten as Frank Lampard’s Chelsea and Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves did themselves a lot of good with the victories they secured.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men appear to have taken off from where they left off last season and are in a good position to make the top 4 if the teams above them falter. They are now tied with Man United on 46 points and currently sit sixth while the Red Devils sit 5th.
The Red Devils also had to come from behind to draw 1 all against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, all thanks to a penalty won by substitute Paul Pogba and coolly converted by new signing Bruno Fernandes. Their partnership seems to have gotten off to a good start.
However, it was no thanks to David Da Gea as he fumbled Bergwijn’s straight shot into the net to give Spurs the lead.

Arsenal lost 2:1 against Brighton after taking the lead through a well-taken curler by Nicolas Pepe. I guess it’s safe to say that the North London outfit is out of the top 4 race as they currently sit 10th and 11 points off 4th place, Chelsea, with 8 games to go. This was one game they had no business after losing the outstanding fixture to City.
Brighton are gradually establishing themselves as a thorn in Arsenal’s flesh in recent times. The last 5 games between the sides have seen Brighton lose none.
