Subsequently, Ghana FA president, Kurt Okraku after seeing the video contacted the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Asiamah to discuss how to bring the stranded players back home.

In an interview with Otec FM, defender Lee Addy who is amongst the stranded players has confirmed that they have indeed been contacted by the GFA as well as Ghana’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Her Excellency Mrs. Amma A. Twum-Amoah.

“We have received a call from the GFA after our video. We’ve delivered our details and the ambassador’s number to them”, Lee Addy said.

He added, “The ambassador also called and explain things to us and we’ve responded to her. We are waiting for what will happen next”.
