Tottenham are latest Premier League side to register their interest in high-rated Brentford ace Said Benrahma, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 24-year-old was one of the standout players in the Championship season, scoring 17 goals and making nine in 45 appearances more as the Bees narrowly missed out on automatic promotion before losing the play-off final to Fulham on Tuesday evening.
And now, Benrahma, whose already been linked with Spurs’ London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in recent months, looks a certainty to move to leave Griffin Park this summer – with Jose Mourinho reportedly eyeing £16m deal for the Algerian player-maker.
West Ham, Leeds United and Aston Villa are also keen on the former Nice man, but Spurs would surely be a far more attractive proposition.
Plus, Chelsea have already secured the services of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, whilst the Gunners are closing in on signing Willian from the Blues, two transfers which could give Mourinho’s side the upper hand in any potential deal for Benrahma.
So what do we think?
If Tottenham are seriously interested in Benrahma, then you’d imagine that one of Lucas Moura or Erik Lamela would have to be sold. But Mourinho is a huge fan of the Brazilian, so Lamela would be the man to make way for the Brentford star.
