Like most loans, West Ham had the option to recall Reid. The loan agreement for Reid is through the end of the season and includes a purchase option for SKC.

SKC are deep in central defense, as new signing Roberto Puncec partnered with captain Matt Besler through their first two matches this season. Peter Vermes can also call on Botond Barath, Andreu Fontas or Graham Smith.
Sporting KC have been drawn into Group D of the MLS is Back Tournament alongside Real Salt Lake, Colorado Rapids and Minnesota United. SKC got off to a flying start in 2020, winning both of their matches with a strong goal difference of +6.
