    Sky Blue FC – Equalizer Soccer

    Sky Blue FC did a lot of remodeling this offseason, but the team enters the 2020 National Women’s Soccer League Challenge Cup with a few of those pieces missing, and a lot of questions left to answer, the results of which could go a few different ways. Certainly, there is an opportunity to build toward 2021.

    5-14-5 (20 points), 8th place

    Roster churn

    Sky Blue FC made some considerable additions this offseason, bringing in U.S. internationals Mallory Pugh, Midge Purce and McCall Zerboni. Pugh is unavailable for the tournament due to a hip injury sustained during her individual training this spring.

    Purce might be the team’s most important player, and could feature in multiple positions during the tournament, according to head coach Freya Coombe.
