    Samuel Inkoom reacts to Ransford Osei’s early retirement from football

    Former Ghana U-20 star Ransford Osei announced his retirement from professional football at age 30 last month which came as a surprise to many Ghanaians.

    The 30-year old last played actively in 2018 during a short spell with Lithuanian outfit FK Palanga.

    Inkoom who shared the pitch with the enterprising forward during the 2009 U-20 FIFA World Cup and AFCON success described his retirement as sad news.

    “It’s not a good news for we the players but all the same we know we cannot play forever, there will be a time you have to retire and then Ransford Osei is very young in the game I think he is like a 30 something years old if am not wrong”

    “I don’t know what is happening; I’m not in his shoes now, so I will not speak too much about it but it so sad to the extent that at age the of 30 something he has hanged up his boots”

    “It was a sad news but at the end of the day we are not in his shoes and so we cannot not question him” he told Angel TV.

    Ransford Osei featured for Asante Kotoko, Kessben FC now Medeama, and Berekum Chelsea.
