Salah says he wants to stay at Liverpool for a long time

Mohamed Salah has revealed he wants to stay at Liverpool for a ‘long time’ as he eyes up more trophies and achievements with the Reds.

Mohamed Salah says he wants to stay at Liverpool for “a long time” and thinks the club can still achieve more.

The forward is the Reds’ leading goal scorer this season, playing a key role in the club sealing their first league title in 30 years.

Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 and has also won the Champions League and Club World Cup with the Reds.

The 28-year-old is still under contract with the club until 2023 and insists he wants to remain for a long time and do even more exploits.

“I’m very happy,” Salah told as quoted by Express.

“I can’t describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years.

“I can see people’s joy and this is so important for all of us.

“I enjoy the atmosphere here, I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time.”

Salah also added that provided the team maintain their chemistry they can achieve even more success.

“The atmosphere here is different to any other place.” he continued.

“We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect.

“If this continues, we can achieve more. It’s difficult to maintain our current level, but it’s not impossible.

“After I left Chelsea, I was determined to go back and change everything.

“I went back, won the UEFA Champions League, the league and was the top goal scorer for two seasons, I think I did well.”

Salah has scored 92 goals in 145 games since joining Liverpool, including 21 in 41 games this campaign.
