Milan are looking for a new defender and Evan Ndicka is an option, even if no offers have been made.
Stefano Pioli confirmed in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport that Milan are add a new center back and a new midfielder to the squad.
Many names have been mentioned in the Italian media over the last few days for both positions, but in Germany today they gave some interesting news in regards to Milan’s interest in Evan Ndicka.
As reported by Bild Sport on Friday, Paolo Maldini has been in contact through a video call with Eintracht’s Ndicka. The contract of the 22-year-old center back expires in 2023. Milan have not yet made any offer to get him, but Eintracht are said to want €20m, which Milan hope to lower.
Journalist Christopher Michel of the German website SPORT1 meanwhile claims that Milan have asked Eintracht about Ndicka and have expressed interest. The matter is now “gaining momentum” and even though there’s no bid, “Milan are pushing more and more intensively for a transfer”.

Ndicka is open to leaving Eintracht for the right project and Milan is a highly-attractive option. Losing Ndicka on free would be a blow for the Bundesliga outfit and this summer is the last chance they have to make money from him as he’s already decided that he is not going to renew with Eintracht.
Milan will, as always, try to lower the demands of Eintracht. Paris Saint-Germain’s Abdou Diallo is another option for the club. Updates are expected in the next days and weeks.
