You have probably seen the reports by now regarding Chelsea being in talks with Juventus over a potential Jorginho for Miralem Pjanic swap deal.
Immediately you would just think this is pure nonsense. However, you just have to look at the fact that the reports are coming from two of the biggest transfer experts in football, Fabrizio Romano, and Gianluca Di Marzio.
Juventus are ready to include Miralem Pjanic into a swap deal on next summer.
Talks started with Chelsea for Jorginho – Sarri would like to have him back. Barcelona (Arthur doesn’t want to leave) and PSG are also in contact with Juve to make their offers. ?? #transfers #Pjanic

These guys don’t often get it wrong.
Although they only report that the deal is being talked about, nobody is claiming it will happen yet for sure, and I honestly cannot see it happening.
Jorginho is Frank Lampard’s vice-captain and he has often sang his praises this season. The Italian international has also been quite vocal about being happy at Chelsea at the moment.
However, Jorginho is not indispensable, and part of me feels that he would be interested in a move if Maurizio Sarri and Juventus came calling, which apparently they have.
I would prefer to keep him in the squad, but if I was Lampard I would also be keen to listen to the proposal from Juventus.
Although, if all they are offering is a cash plus Pjanic deal, I would not be interested. The Bosnian international is a great midfielder, but at 30-years of age, he is not what Chelsea need.
We are stacked in that area as it stands and already have good competition there. If we are to sell Jorginho then in true Jerry Maguire style, I would ask them to ‘show me the money!’
A large cash deal and I would consider that. But due to the current financial climate under the global pandemic, Juventus only really want swap deals.
If that is the case, then Chelsea should push for a player in a position they need, or don’t sell at all.
Add Alex Sandro and a decent sum of cash to the offer and we might consider it. Chelsea need a left back and we know that Sandro is a class player still, despite being that year or two older than he was when we first tried to sign him.
To conclude. Keep Jorginho, but for me he isn’t not a guaranteed starter, so listen to the offer. But only accept if it is a large cash offer, or it involves a player we need such as Sandro.
