Eder Militao played his best game in a Real Madrid shirt to date during Los Blancos‘ 1-0 win over Athletic Club on Sunday.
The 22-year-old was the focus of a lot of attention ahead of the match as he prepared to deputise for the injured Raphael Varane in defence.
In his previous appearances this season, against the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Mallorca, Real Sociedad and Real Betis, the Brazilian had looked shaky.
However, he put in an impressive performance just when Zinedine Zidane needed him at San Mames.
Inaki Williams posed Athletic‘s biggest threat, especially with his ability to run in behind opposition defences.
Militao, though, stuck with the Basque forward and matched him for pace on more than one occasion.
After Sunday’s display, Zidane won’t have any concerns in playing Militao again against Alaves on Friday, a game which Sergio Ramos is suspended for.
