Prolific Diallo has heart set on Tottenham with exit very much on the cards

Habib Diallo is reported to have made a move to Tottenham his top priority this summer amid growing claims he will leave Metz.

Our exclusive back in November claimed the 25-year-old striker was being watched by Tottenham scouts ahead of a move.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is seeking additional firepower to keep Harry Kane on his toes and the Metz attacker appears to look the part.

He has struck an impressive 48 goals in 111 appearances for the Ligue 1 side. However, it should be noted that two of those seasons were in Ligue 2.

Nonetheless, Spurs are not alone in their interest and BeIN Sports claims a clutch of rival Premier League clubs are also keen. Back in November, Watford and Norwich were mentioned as suitors. However, their relegation from the Premier League makes an approach unlikely.

There is, however, expected to be interest from both Crystal Palace and West Brom, cites multiple reports.

BeIN Sports states that Metz are resigned to the Diallo moving on this summer. They state the French outfit will be powerless to resist a big-money offer for the four-times capped international.

However, it’s claimed Diallo favours a move to Tottenham ahead of the rival interest. Furthermore, they state he will wait for them to make a move before deciding on his next move.

Diallo can play across the attack and it’s believed an offer of around €14m would tempt Metz to sell.

Diallo is not the only striker on Tottenham’s radar, however, with Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik also linked.

A recent report suggested that Spurs chief Daniel Levy was ready to make a serious bid for the £45m-rated player.

    Hojbjerg deal close

Tottenham’s immediate priority lies in strengthening their midfield, however.

    Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

To that end, a deal for Southampton’s Danish star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is reported to be close.

Spurs have chased the Denmark international heavily over the past few months. Indeed reports claimed he is boss Jose Mourinho’s top target this summer.

Everton were also keen but, according to the Daily Mail, Tottenham have made a crucial breakthrough.

Talks have further advanced and the newspaper now claims Spurs will strike a deal “this week”.

Spurs will reportedly pay just £15m for the Hojbjerg and will recoup £12m of that with Kyle Walker-Peters heading the other way.
