Premier League winger’s transfer to Spurs ‘in jeopardy’ – report – TottenhamBlog.com

Tottenham’s interest in signing Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser on a free transfer has waned, according to the Daily Star.

Fraser is out of contract at the end of the month and has turned down a new short-term deal with Bournemouth, meaning he will only play two more games for the Cherries at most.

It also means he is able to join another club on a free transfer from the beginning of July. Spurs have been linked with the Scotland international, with the Mirror claiming the Londoners were serious contenders to sign him last month.

However, the Star is now reporting that Jose Mourinho is yet to sanction a move for Fraser, and Tottenham’s interest is said to have faded. The story suggests Spurs is the 26-year-old’s preferred destination but a deal suddenly looks to be in serious doubt.

Arsenal and West Ham United are also mentioned as possible suitors as they are in more urgent need of wingers. Fraser would likely find it difficult to get game time at Spurs unless Lucas Moura or Erik Lamela leave this summer.
