    Premier League Watford vs Norwich City

    They’ve lost all four league games since the season resumed, failing to score a single goal. Three of those were at home and the away match, at Arsenal, brought a 4-0 hammering. Overall, they have now found the net in just one of their last nine.

    Watford have hardly been sparkling themselves – it’s one league win in 11 for the Hornets – but Nigel Pearson’s men beat Liverpool not too long ago and they have been able to obtain results against their fellow stragglers.

    A point and a place outside the relegation zone, Watford have won three and drawn one of their five games against the teams currently below them. Those results include a 2-0 victory at Carrow Road in the reverse fixture.

    They’ll know the importance of this game and the effect it could have on their season and, given the level of opposition, should be able to improve on Saturday’s disappointing performance at Chelsea where they lost 3-0.

    They are 8/13 for the win, while another option is to back them to win to nil at 7/4. Norwich’s goalscoring problems are clear and Watford have kept five clean sheets in nine home games since Pearson joined the club in December.

    It may, however, be a nervy night for the hosts given what’s at stake. With this in mind, a narrow win looks the route to possible value.
