Predicted Newcastle team v Tottenham in early Saturday kick-off

Looking at this Newcastle team v Tottenham.

Eddie Howe and his players knowing a victory will move them into sixth, above Man U who play away at Bournemouth later today, as well as West Ham who are home to Fulham on Sunday.

So what can we expect the Newcastle team v Tottenham to be?

As a starting point, this was the Newcastle team v Fulham:

Dubravka, Krafth, Schar, Burn, Hall, Longstaff, Bruno, Willock, Murphy, Isak, Gordon

    NFL Betting

Eddie Howe gave an injury and availability update on Friday morning.

The NUFC Head Coach indicating that three or four players were getting close to coming off the injury list but this game almost certainly too soon.

Hopefully Crystal Palace away in 11 days time might see at least one or two more options available for Eddie Howe.

For this Tottenham match though, it appears to point to the players who were available for Fulham, minus Joe Willock.

Whilst Eddie Howe saying Lewis Hall hadn’t been training this week, Eddie Howe describing him as a ‘slight concern’ for today.

Anyway, my take on all of this after the above, my best guesstimate of Newcastle team v Tottenham…

Dubravka, Krafth, Schar, Burn, Hall, Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson, Murphy, Isak, Gordon

So that would be just the one change from the Fulham match.

With Anderson coming in for Willock.

That was the first half change at Fulham when Joe Willock was forced off through injury.

My Newcastle team v Tottenham does of course rely on Lewis Hall proving ok to play. The way Eddie Howe was talking, my impression was that he is expecting that to be the case.

The only other positive change Eddie Howe could make, is potentially Harvey Barnes starting ahead of Jacob Murphy.

My feeling is that on balance, probably Barnes will be kept as an impact sub.

Going back to the Lewis Hall situation, who knows what Eddie Howe will do if Hall doesn’t make it…

Paul Dummett possibly coming in but would that mean Dan Burn having to go out to left-back, as I think a tough ask for Dummett to play a full game at full-back having played so little football. Playing in the middle this season, Dummett did really well against Man City and Man U in the League Cup, Newcastle keeping two clean sheets.
