Possible Tottenham XI vs Aston Villa – Gareth Bale drops out in only change

Tottenham need to produce a fourth home victory on the bounce against Aston Villa to keep their hopes of playing in Europe next season in their own hands.

The victory over Wolves last Sunday, coupled with West Ham’s draw at Brighton, means that two wins from their final two Premier League matches will see Spurs qualify for the Europa League.

Following the game against Wolves, we think that Ryan Mason will make just one change.

The interim Tottenham head coach revealed that Gareth Bale is doubtful, and if the Welshman isn’t passed fit, we believe Lucas Moura will be recalled to the starting XI for the first time since Mason’s opening game in charge.

Mason also confirmed that Serge Aurier is available having missed out, but we believe that Japhet Tanganga will keep his place in an unchanged back-four.

Into midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele doesn’t appear to be in Mason’s good books, meaning Giovani Lo Celso should earn a fifth Premier League start on the bounce alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Moving forward, Moura should join Dele Alli, Heung Min and Harry Kane, who hopefully won’t be playing his last ever home game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

    Ben Davies remains sidelined.

XI: Lloris, Tanganga, Alderweireld, Dier, Regulion, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Lucas, Alli, Son, Kane.
