Paul Pogba is reportedly set to perform a U-turn and extend his deal at Manchester United.
The World Cup winner has consistently been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with his agent, Mino Raiola, adding fuel to the fire.
Real Madrid and Juventus are both interested in Pogba, who returned to Old Trafford for his second spell in 2016.
But since returning from injury Pogba has looked somewhere near his best form again, striking up a potentially very fruitful partnership in midfield with Bruno Fernandes.
And ESPN sources claim the midfielder has ‘never been happier’ at United, and is open to prolonging his stay.
His current deal runs to 2021, with United holding the option of an extra year.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has regularly backed the £89million man, despite ongoing reports of the player’s unhappiness and struggles with injury, claiming he is close to a consistent run of good performances.
The United boss said: “Yeah, I really hope and believe.
“Of course Paul has had his difficult season this year with loads of injuries, but I can see his mentality and focus now that he is fit and training and available, that he is ready to play again and to prove… he has always had quality, Paul.
“He is one of the best midfielders in the world so hopefully we can get that going as soon as possible.”
