Tottenham’s top four pursuit will continue on Sunday when they host Manchester United in the Premier League, and Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.
The XI against Newcastle, which was unchanged from the win at Aston Villa, simply didn’t work, nor did the changes Mourinho made during the draw at St. James’ Park.
That said, we think it’s rather obvious Carlos Vinicius will drop out for Son Heung-min for the Manchester United game.
Son looked far from match fit when he came on for the second half against Newcastle, but hopefully a week of training will have increased his sharpness for this crucial match.
There is a good chance that will be the only change from Newcastle, with the rest of the team staying exactly the same.
That means Japhet Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez, Joe Rodon and Sergio Reguilon will sit in front of Hugo Lloris, while Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele will be the central midfield partnership.
Son will join Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane in attack.
