    2. Bundesliga club FC Nürnberg have today announced the signing of Bayern Munich goalkeeper Christian Früchtl on loan.

“Im looking forward to the club and the new season,” said the 20-year-old. “My goal is to help Nürnberg play a successful season. In addition, if possible, I would like to gain higher class match practise and prove myself at a professional level.”

Several Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs had shown an interest in the stopper but with a move to FC Nürnberg, Früchtl is guaranteed first team football.

“Christian is the most talented and best German goalkeeper in his age group,” said Nürnberg sporting director Dieter Hecking.

“With him, we are once again increasing the quality in our goalkeeping team. He wants to take the next step in his development at Nürnberg.”
