FC Köln have announced the signing of 29-year-old Swedish striker Sebastian Andersson from fellow Bundesliga club Union Berlin on a three-year contract.

“Sebastian is a physically strong player, who is strong in the area and on the ground – he is a player with fantastic mentality. He has made more than 100 appearances at the highest level and has constantly proven his ability to score goals,” said sporting director Horst Heldt.

Andersson arrives from Union for a reported €6 million and comes in as a replacement for Jhon Córdoba, who joined Hertha BSC on Tuesday.
