Charles De Ketelaere is a Milan player after signing the contract today.
A month of negotiations, talks, delays, drama, highs and lows, came to an end today when 21-year-old De Ketelaere put pen to paper at Casa Milan to officially become a new player of the Rossoneri.
The statement on the website of the Rossoneri reads: “Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge FC.
“The player has signed a contract until 30 June 2027 and will wear the number 90 jersey. Born in Bruges on 10 March 2001, Charles grew up in the Club Bruges Youth Sector before making his debut for the club in 2019. Since then he has made 120 appearances and scored 25 goals, winning the Belgian League three times and Super Cup twice. In November 2020, he made his debut for the Belgian national team and has since played for them eight times and scored once.”

After a very long and difficult negotiation, Milan agreed to pay Brugge €32m + €3m of bonuses + 12.5% of a future resale (for a sum over €32m). Last night De Ketelaere, accompanied by his girlfriend Jozefien Van de Velde and his mother and agents, got on a plane to Milano and today he underwent the medical check-ups at La Madonnina and was at Casa Milan for a tour at the museum and of course to sign the long-term contract with the seven-times Champions League winners.
De Ketelaere will tomorrow be at Milanello for his first training session under Stefano Pioli. The Coach will find an exciting forward who can play anywhere in attack and give quality and quantity.
