Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Theo have COVID and will miss the next games.
The news has been in the air for a few days now as Hakan missed training on Friday and Saturday, while Hernández was absent from group training on Friday.
Today, the club confirmed that the two stars, who are among the most important players in the squad of coach Stefano Pioli, have COVID-19:
“Milan announces that Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Theo Hernández tested positive for a molecular swab carried out yesterday to all the whole team, while all other test results were negative. The Club promptly informed the health authorities. The asymptomatic players remained in isolation at home. All the other team members will continue to be monitored closely according to the federal protocol.”
The Rossoneri now have 4 players unavailable with COVID as Rade Krunić and Ante Rebić also have it. Pioli has lost two more key men ahead of important matches against Cagliari and Atalanta.
