Non league game called off minutes before full time due to players ‘brawling’

A non league game ended up getting called off minutes before the usual point of full time due to players on both teams ‘brawling’.

Footage of what happened left fans in hysterics, with many pinpointing certain players for their part in the so-called fight.

Leeds based club Benchgroup FC took on Swingers FC with the game playing out to a 7-2 win for the home side.

Benchgroup FC went into the game knowing that a draw for their side and a loss for Swingers meant they would sit ahead of them in the Goals Leeds Second Division with a win most likely moving them into the top 3.

Benchgroup FC wrote via their Instagram: “What a weird game that was.

    NFL Betting

“Our game against Swingers ended up getting called off a few minutes early after swingers tried to start a brawl.

“A great show of composure from our lads to not escalate the situation as the referee decided we deserve the win as we didn’t try anything.

“The game itself was over at half time with the bench looking very clinical today with their shooting.

“We take on Connos next week who we assume like gaff will have a “full team” for their game against the famous.”

A video has since got thousands of views on the social media site, showing it flare up, have a laugh at their expense…

They must have took inspiration from Rangers fans, because on the same day, some of the Gers fanbase ended up turning celebrations into arrests.

Female Rangers fans were caught out peeing on the ground with cops getting injured and 20 arrests made in Saturday’s title celebrations.

A photo has gone viral sowing what appears to be three women squatting on the ground and against a wall relieving themselves whilst enjoying Rangers going the league season unbeaten.

Whilst they were doing that, in and around central Glasgow, police officers have been injured and 20 people arrested after authorities dispersed a large crowd of celebrating Rangers fans due to “rising disorder”.

Police formed a line and cleared the group from the area just after 9pm, with Police Scotland describing the fans’ behaviour as “disgraceful”.

“Our officers became the focus of the crowd’s attention with missiles and flares being thrown at them,” chief superintendent Mark Sutherland, Police Scotland’s Divisional Commander for Greater Glasgow, said in a statement.

“Our policing response has been proportionate. We have responded appropriately and consistently to the behaviour of those gathered.

“This disgraceful behaviour which clearly endangered public and officer safety could not be tolerated and officers dressed in full public order equipment and, after appropriate warnings were given, moved in to disperse those present.

“Although most of those present dispersed, a number remained and confronted officers with violence and aggression. Missiles were thrown and officers came under direct attack as George Square and the surrounding area was cleared.
