Bundesliga Impressed his boss in Germany
RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann reserved special praise for Spanish full-back and Barcelona target Angelino.
The left-back landed in Leipzig for the second half of the 2019/20 season on loan from Manchester City and his impressive performances in the Bundesliga and Champions League have Barcelona considering him as a replacement for Jordi Alba this summer.
“He was the biggest surprise of the season,” Nagelsmann said to RB Live of Angelino, “we knew he was good, but he worked out immediately.
“He played right away without training, took charge of things and played very intelligently.”
Nagelsmann had previously complimented the Spaniard shortly after his arrival back in February too.
Angelino will stay on loan in Germany until January and Leipzig have a purchase option for 30 million euros.
