Maurizio Pochettino, son of former Tottenham manager Mauricio, has signed a new contract at the club – keeping the Pochettino legacy in N17.

The 19-year-old, who is yet to be involved with the first-team, joined Spurs’ academy in 2017 and was set to see his deal on 30 June, but has signed fresh terms to extend his stay in north London.

Having put pen to paper, Pochettino Junior posed for a photo on Instagram with Mauricio – with Tottenham fans noticing something quite telling about their ex-boss, who was sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho in November.

Despite his departure more than eight months ago, Pochettino, who remains a popular figure with the Spurs faithful, was pictured still wearing his Tottenham gear.

It led to an out pour of emotion from Spurs supporters, who expressed their love on Twitter – with a number pleading for the Argentine to one return to the club.
