It’s set to be a busy night in MLS with 12 games taking place Wednesday. But there’s plenty going on around the league before the players take to the field. Here’s your chance to keep up to date with the latest news as it happens.
12:44 pm ET – Ruan set for return?
One of the most exciting right-backs in the league could be set for a return to action Wednesday. Orlando Sentinel reporter Julia Poe notes that Ruan is regarded as “day-to-day” as he returns to fitness after being ruled out of Orlando’s last two games. The Brazilian is also not listed on the club’s injury report for tonight’s game
He’s been off the injury list for at least one match now, but did not play last week against Atlanta. This should mean he’s medically cleared to return to some level of competitive activity. Pareja described him as “day-to-day” with the rest of the injured group on Monday. https://t.co/GF4m7m3G53

Heard this morning that Tuesday’s round of testing for #Crew96 came back all negative.
The club said they would disclose any new positive cases. I have not heard from them.

10:55 am ET – Union injuries
In addition to Jose “El Brujo” Martinez and the injured Warren Creavalle, revealed by Jim Curtin on Tuesday, the Union are also officially without Ray Gaddis and Jakob Glesnes.
Gaddis, Glesnes and Creavalle all listed as OUT for #DOOP vs. #DCU. Ilsinho is questionable.
I believe that gives the Union 17 healthy field players for tonight with Burke not fit and Martinez away. pic.twitter.com/LXCj3PGOM0
