Milan Femminile have reached their objective for the season; a draw against Sassuolo was enough to secure it.

For the first time in their history – Milan Women have qualified for the Champions League. In the 2021/22 season, Maurizio Ganz and his girls will be representing the jersey of the Rossonere.

Heading into the match against Sassuolo Women on Saturday afternoon, Milan Women knew that they need a point to secure qualification. And that’s exactly what they got, as they played a 0-0 at the home of the team with whom they’ve been competing all season for the spot in the Champions League.

After the penultimate day, the Rossonere sit on 50 points, with a three-point advantage and a greater head-to-head record over the Neroverdi. Milan are second only to Juventus, who won the Scudetto once again this season. There are two more matches to play this season for Milan: next weekend they face Verona, while on May 30 they face Roma in the final of the Coppa Italia at Mapei Stadium.

An excellent achievement for Ganz and his girls, who finished in third place in the last two seasons.
