Man United to halt all transfer proceedings if Ed Woodward can sign one major deal

Manchester United to halt all transfer proceedings if Ed Woodward can sign one major deal in bringing Jadon Sancho to the club from Borussia Dortmund, according to the Express

It’s clear that signing Sancho has been United’s number one target this summer, at one point the deal looked a near certainty, where as in the middle of lockdown it was starting to look very unlikely.

Of course, other players have been mentioned as well, such as Jude Bellingham who ironically joined Dortmund from Birmingham City earlier this summer.

Sancho is still very much on United’s radar.

United fans will be delighted if Sancho joins the club, but they will be a little disheartened by the latest news, given the gap they need to make up to rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

The questions remains, will just Sancho be enough? Many believe the club will still need a central defender and a central midfielder to again compete at the top, top level.

Lots of ifs and buts still remain for United’s summer transfer plans, but above all, if rumours are to be believed the club are clearly desperate to bring the Dortmund winger across to Old Trafford.
