FC Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has, on Monday, provided an altogether positive fitness update on his squad.
Benfica lie in wait
The Blaugrana are of course set to return to action in a little over 24 hours’ time.
After kicking the Xavi era off with a hard-fought 1-0 derby win over Espanyol at the weekend, Barca will now turn their attentions towards matters on the continent.
A crunch Champions League group stage showdown with Portuguese giants Benfica lies in wait.
As things stand, the Catalans sit 2nd in the Group E table, after rattling off back-to-back victories over Dynamo Kiev prior to the international break.
Benfica, though, sit just two points back, and no doubt brimming with confidence, after making short work of Barca to the tune of a 3-0 win in Lisbon back in September.

Busquets & more to feature
In turn, it goes without saying that Xavi will no doubt be desperate to have as many of his key performers as possible fit and available to feature from the off on Tuesday night.
And, if the latest word stemming from the Blaugrana camp on Monday evening is anything to go by, then the personnel news, as things stand, looks of an altogether encouraging nature.
As confirmed a short time ago, the trio of Sergio Busquets, Oscar Mingueza and Nico, all of whom were withdrawn prematurely versus Espanyol owing to fitness concerns, look set to be at the disposal of their new boss tomorrow.
Xavi not ruling out Sergi Roberto, Dest or Dembele for Benfica tomo. Will depend on training this evening. Busquets, Mingueza and Nico should all be fine

Not only that, but, in Xavi’s final training session of the day, both Ousmane Dembele and Sergino Dest were too spotted taking part alongside the rest of the club’s first-team squad:
