Tottenham’s Premier League restart continues on Tuesday night with a London derby against West Ham United at home.
Spurs will be aiming to better Friday’s result against Manchester United, a 1-1 draw, and Jose Mourinho has a number of team selection decisions to make to ensure that’s the case.
That said, we think Mourinho will make just one change to the XI that started against Manchester United.
Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga remain sidelined with injuries, so Serge Aurier – perhaps fortunately – will keep his place at right-back.
Toby Alderweireld could come in at centre-back, but Mourinho has no reason to drop Eric Dier or Davinson Sanchez unless he thinks the former was to blame for the dropped points last week – which is unlikely. Ben Davies will almost certainly start on the left again.
Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko probably did enough to remain in the team, but Erik Lamela might miss out to the returning Dele Alli. Meanwhile, Giovani Lo Celso may not be quite fit enough to start and so is likely to be on the bench again.
In attack, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane should be given the opportunity to continue building their match fitness alongside Steven Bergwijn, who found the net last time out.
