Leeds United are one of four Premier League teams that are reportedly interested in Dundee United youngster Lewis Neilson, according to a report.
Leicester, Southampton, Everton and Leeds all had scouts at Tannadice on Saturday, according to The Courier. Neilson was in action against Scottish Champions Celtic.
The 17-year-old was substituted after 6o minutes. United lost the game to a late Albian Ajeti goal.
Neilson has three years remaining on his contract and is said to be very happy at his boyhood club. It would likely require a seven-figure sum to prize him away.
He has been with the club since aged 1o and has progressed through the youth ranks as a central midfielder. However, his future appears to be as a defender.
Neilson has played four of United’s opening five Scottish Premier League games. He has played centre back in a back three and has been used as a right back.
Leeds eye Arsenal man
Arsenal will sell Callum Chambers for the right price this summer. TEAMtalk understands Leeds are ready to fight Fulham for his signature.
The 25-year-old has been told by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta that he is not in his long-term plans and is free to leave.
The Gunners are looking to balance the books having signed Pablo Mari permanently. They’re also on the brink of capturing Gabriel Magalhaes in a £27m deal.
As such, Arsenal have made it clear to Chambers that he can move on with a price of around £12m placed on his head. The Gunners also made it clear they would like to sell, rather than loan Chambers out. As far as Arteta is concerned, Chambers’ Arsenal career is over.
