LaLiga Two relegated sides
Both Deportivo La Coruna and Numancia have reportedly written to Spain’s sports council to call for LaLiga president Javier Tebas to have his decision making powers suspended.
This follows the events of July 20, where Fuenlabrada travelled to A Coruna for their Matchday 42 match against Deportivo in Spain’s second division when there was a coronavirus outbreak in the Madrid side’s squad.
That meant that the fixture wasn’t played and these two teams are criticising Tebas for his role in the controversy.
Both Deportivo and Numancia have been mathematically relegated, even with this fixture still to be played.
“He has caused serious damage to LaLiga and its clubs,” the two relegated teams allegedly say of Tebas in their letter.
However, MARCA has learned that the sports council has yet to receive any official request from either club.
