Can’t lie I feel bad for Woodgate. His plans to play attacking football and utilised the academy were exactly what we need in the championship. Sadly he was dealt a bad hand with money and injuries and perhaps was just too out of his depth. At time’s he showed he could handle it brilliantly (West Brom, Spurs, GESTEDE SCORING) but at the end of the day the players were still not performing well enough most of the time. Wether that was Woodgates fault or the players, the next nine games will tell.
