I’d have been a lawyer or musician if I were not a footballer – Asamoah Gyan

Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has disclosed his alternative career paths, revealing that he would have pursued law or music if he hadn’t become a footballer.

Gyan, known for his prolific goal-scoring prowess during his tenure with clubs like Sunderland and Udinese, shared insights into his potential career choices in an interview with 3FM.

Reflecting on his past collaborations in the music industry, particularly with his late friend Castro in the early 2010s, Gyan expressed his affinity for music alongside his football career.

When asked which career he would have pursued apart from football, Gyan said, “A musician or a lawyer, because you never win against me when it comes to arguments. You never win. I always find a way to win.”

Asked if he would consider going to law school, Gyan added: “Maybe. Never say never. Now we’re focusing on the All Regional Games and we want to change the sports fraternity, we want the other generation to benefit from it.”

Despite contemplating alternative professions, Gyan emphasized his current focus on promoting sports development, particularly through initiatives like the All Regional Games.

He expressed a desire to see future generations benefit from enhanced opportunities in sports.
