Hoffenheim considering PSV’s Philipp Max as David Raum replacement

Hoffenheim are considering a move for PSV defender Phillipp Max as a potential replacement for David Raum who recently departed for RB Leipzig, according to Kicker

Since the left back left TSG, the club has been on the lookout for a new left back.

It was thought that Leipzig’s Angeliño could make his way to Hoffenheim as he is now surplus to requirements due to Raum’s arrival.

The likelihood is that TSG could only afford Angeliño on a year’s loan but the player is in no rush to make a move as clubs in the Premier League eye up a potential bid

Philipp Max moved to PSV just years ago from Augsburg for around €8m.

During his time in the Bundesliga, the left-footed defender’s performances even earned him a couple of national team call-ups.

A return to Germany could just reignite his international career with Germany.

Max is currently under contract until 2024 in the Netherlands and would certainly be more affordable than Leipzig’s Angeliño.
