Premier League The two teams meet on Thursday
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City will give newly crowned Premier League champions Liverpool a guard of honour when the two teams meet on Thursday.
City‘s defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge officially handed the Reds their first league title in 30 years.
Thursday’s match at the Etihad Stadium will be Jurgen Klopp‘s side’s first since clinching the title.
“We are going to do the guard of honour, of course,” Guardiola said.
“We will greet Liverpool, when they come to our house, in an incredible way.
“We are going to do it because they deserve it.”
