Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has called on the technical team of the Black Stars to beef up squad before the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
Ghana is returning to the global showpiece after missing out in Russia 2018 after edging Nigeria in the play-off in March.
The Black Stars has been paired against Portugal Uruguay and South Korea. They are expected to begin their campaign against Portugal in November.
In an interview, the former Udinese star urged the technical handlers of the national team to augment the squad before the mundial despite the quality in the team.
“Truth be told, we have quality in the Black Stars but we have to also beef up the team. We have to bring some players on board and that is a fact. We need to beef the team because we are going to the highest stage in world football which is the World Cup” he said.
